Organizational  Development

In my former role as an executive director, I experienced the discomfort and potential of uncertainty. I entered the blue hour on multiple occasions and grappled with changes in policies, hiring, and other circumstances beyond my control. When I was at a learning edge, I hired an outside consultant and witnessed the power of engaging in practices that are awareness-based, consistent and threaded throughout the day, month, quarter, and year.

The blue hour is an on-going phenomenon for most organizations and holds immense potential for growth and transformation, if approached with curiosity and the desire to convert reactivity into mutual learning.

Over time, with a structured rhythm of coaching and engaged participation, my former  organization evolved into a vibrant culture of candor and care. Reactivity, blame, and defensiveness decreased. Feedback became clear, direct, kind, continuous and welcome. Meetings stayed on track and productive. Visitors often commented on our welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

This experience inspired my move to consulting and my commitment to help others develop vital and vibrant organizations.

"Coaching with Miriam is filled with invitation to live into your healthy and whole self. Our sessions helped me rebalance and refocus my perspective, particularly my relation to present challenges and opportunities. Our coaching engagements are highlights in my busy schedule. The exercises presented enhance the quality of my leadership practice and increase my awareness and this positively impacts my professional and personal relationships. The skills developed within coaching are not confined to the professional realm. Leaning into agreements designed within our coaching platform, has increased a depth of breathing, the feeling of being genuinely grounded, and helped me discover the reassurance of being part of a living ecosystem and professional community."
